Thanks to everyone who participated in the Transposium! The April 10th event was a huge hit, with a stellar turnout and some amazing presentations on legal issues affecting transgender and intersex identity.

Guess what? We have photos from our incredibly successful Happy Hours and the recent Lavender Law Conference in Chicago! Attend OutLaw events and you too can be featured on our web site.

Our objective in OUTLAW is to foster a positive, active, social, cohesive community at Hastings for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer students, staff, and faculty. We work to create an atmosphere of acceptance towards LGBT students within the school, as well as increase our visibility in the community at large.

In addition to celebrating our diversity through helping LGBT and LGBT-friendly students feel welcome, OUTLAW addresses LGBT-specific
issues and concerns in order to educate the greater community and foster wider acceptance for LGBT people. We also provide resources, contacts, and networking opportunities for LGBT students, faculty, and staff at Hastings.

Perhaps most importantly, OUTLAW is student-driven organization that strives to meet the needs and goals of its members, providing student-directed opportunities for participation in national
LGBT events and conferences, LGBT-focused career and recruiting events, LGBT activism and advocacy, and social activities.
