Director of Communications Job Description

The Director of Communications is responsible for maintaining open dialogue between ASUCH and the student body.

The following tasks are included in this responsibility:

Duties

  Generally, act as a liaison between ASUCH and the student body.

    a. Transmit information about pending and completed ASUCH resolutions, committees and task forces to the student body by means of a weekly ASUCH announcement in the Hastings Weekly and/or the MyHastings website.
    b. Ascertain student needs, desires, and concerns by polling or other methods.
    c. Publicize ASUCH events via posters, email and chalking boards.
    d. Maintain and update the MyHastings website.   (Web skills are not necessary but desirable only.  Simple updating software has been installed that works like a word processor.)
    e. Maintain and update the Events calendar at the MyHastings website.

    f. Check and respond to the ASUCH@uchastings.edu mailing address.

    g. Maintain the ASUCH listservs.

    h. Maintain the ASUCH bulletin board with updated Events Calendars and other information of interest to students.


  The Director of Communications is empowered to assemble a committee to achieve these goals.
